9-10 Division Information

The emphasis in the Minor Division continues to be FUN and instruction. An 11" ball is used. Players will continue to learn the basics of hitting, fielding, throwing, running the bases, and sliding. League rules are in place to ensure the girls play as many innings and as many positions as possible over the course of the season. All players retain their position in the batting order during the game whether or not they are in the field and a combination of youth pitching and coach pitching is used for batting. Base stealing and bunting is introduce mid season. Teams compete in the DuKane Girls Softball League and season ends with a single elimination tournament in late June.
