11-12 Division Information

The emphasis in the Major Division continues to be FUN and instruction. A 12" ball is used. Players will continue to learn and refine the fundamnetals of hitting, bunting, fielding, throwing, running and stealing bases. League rules are in place to ensure the girls play as many innings and a variety of positions during the season leading to position specialization development as the season progresses. All players retain their position in the batting order during the game whether or not they are in the field. Youth pitching is used for batting. Teams compete in the DuKane Girls Softball League and season ends with a double elimination tournament in late June.
